Preoperative Bariatric Evaluations

Given the inherently stressful nature of postoperative bariatric recovery, a professional assessment of patients' strengths and vulnerabilities can be an invaluable tool for surgeons.  Consequently, most commercial insurance plans and established bariatric programs require psychological evaluations prior to surgery.

Prior to the preoperative evaluation, patients will fill out behavioral health questionnaires which will then be used to complete the formal assessment.  Appointments typically last 30 minutes.
