Dr. Hodges helps patients achieve greater self-awareness and develop the knowledge and skills necessary to make significant positive changes in their lives.
The process of seeking out and following through with surgery can be quite stressful. The preoperative evaluation provides the surgeon with a thorough assessment of personality variables known to mediate the stress of postoperative recovery.
Dr. Hodges has specialized training in weight loss counseling. He works with patients to address ways of thinking and patterns of behavior which interfere with weight loss management.
In addition to bariatric behavioral health counseling, Dr. Hodges also offers individual therapy for the treatment of anxiety, depression, and other common disorders. He draws from his training and experience in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT) and Short-Term Psychodynamic therapy.
